Astoria based Saint Demetrios Preparatory School recently implemented Ellinopoula as part of its Greek language curriculum.
Saint Demetrios is the oldest day Greek school in the US, the only of its kind to include a high-school curriculum. It recently implemented Ellinopoula’s interactive software platform, as part of its policy of investing in high tech facilities and innovative educational software.
Ellinopoula is a California and Athens-based app and unique e-learning platform designed to make Greek for kids exciting and effective and help both parents and teachers to pass on Hellenism to the next generation. It incorporates fun games, engaging videos, and thousands of interactive educational activities with Greek mythology, history, and culture.
The platform assists parents and teachers with tools that enable them to monitor each kid’s, or class’s learning progress. It stands apart for its “Learning Path” step-by-step learning process tailored to each student, its speech recognition software which allows children to practice speaking Greek at home, its award-winning illustrations, and original content steeped in Greek culture.
Ms. Anna Sakkis, CEO of Ellinopoula, stated “We are proud to collaborate with Saint Demetrios Preparatory School; a model institution for passing on Hellenism to future generations. At Ellinopoula, we share the school’s “Ever to Excel” motto, as a living Hellenic legacy and duty to guide Greek Diaspora kids to reach their highest level of achievement in every facet life. The response by teachers, children, and parents at Saint Demetrios is heart-warming and we look forward to a long-term fruitful collaboration.”
