The Gift of Greek Heritage

Share

The future of Hellenism is in the hands of the next generations!

That’s why Greek Diaspora parents seek ways to share their love of Greek heritage with their children. Ellinopoula offers a valuable resource for connecting Diaspora kids with their roots. It’s not just about learning facts and dates; it’s about immersing kids in the rich tapestry of Greek culture and history. Witnessing children sing the national anthem with pride or create a traditional Greek craft is a heartwarming experience for parents.

As Greek Diaspora parents, we carry a torch – a flame of tradition, history, and pride in our heritage. It’s a torch we want to pass on to our children, despite the physical distance from Greece making it a challenge. Helping our kids become “young ambassadors” of Hellenism is a wonderful achievement!

That is why we created Ellinopoula – to offer a treasure trove of resources designed specifically for Greek Diaspora kids to discover and embrace their heritage while learning Greek. With the celebration of the 28th of October 1940 coming up (“Ohi Day”), our students are learning about this major historical event and national celebration with our theme collection about the 28th of October.

Through the collection on our online platform and our Live Online Classes, kids can gain an understanding and appreciation for events like the 28th of October and the 25th of March. Our content enables them to put names and dates into context which helps them explore their heritage and boost their Greek language skills at the same time.

We encourage parents to start with the Greek national anthem, that’s why we’ve created a lot of activities about the flag and national anthem’s lyrics and the results are evident! Watching the kids sing the Greek national anthem with such heart is such an incredibly rewarding moment for us!

Let’s keep the flame of Hellenism burning bright in the next generations!
