Can learning Greek be fun for kids? Yes!

“Learning Greek is hard!” a common complaint coming from children, and rightfully so because in a lot of circumstances it is! Is this specific to Greek? No! Can it be solved? Yes! Let’s demonstrate why by taking the example of a child who wants to learn how to play tennis:

Imagine if the tennis club keeps rescheduling training sessions, children never know who’ll be coaching them, how long the training session will last, and whether they’ll be taught an advanced, intermediate, or beginner-level skill. Under these circumstances, what are a child’s chances of learning how to play tennis?

The Path to Learning Greek

The same applies to learning Greek; unless your child is following a structured, step-by-step learning process, it will be just as hard to learn proper Greek as it would be to learn how to play tennis in the unlikely scenario above.

Children need a structured environment allowing them to be exposed to the Greek language regularly, with small, realistic and attainable goals meant to guide them from A to B to Γ. And that’s why we created the “Learning Path.”

The Learning Path is the latest addition to the Ellinopoula.com platform. It’s a simple step-by-step process for children who don’t know any Greek at all and helps them learn at the right pace in small manageable steps.

Supported by a team of teachers and our own team at Ellinopoula.com, Ms. Anna Krapsiti, an education expert with 20+ years’ experience teaching children, is the driving force behind the Learning Path.

Together, we created an educationally thorough, yet simple and fun to use method, which takes your child by the hand through a step-by-step path to learning Greek. Each activity is designed to educate and entertain as children discover beautifully illustrated Greek Mythology, Geography, and Culture related topics. It’s a simple and fun-to-use method, which requires only ten minutes a day!
